What is brotherhood all about?
Brotherhood is one of the greatest gifts Christ gives us. Anyone who has been a part of a group of Catholic brothers focused on accompanying each other through the joys and sorrows of life can attest to this gift. A group of fraternal brothers allows the energy of Christ to flow through it and strengthen each person in spirit (Col 1:29). But that energy isn’t just during an official “group meeting.” When men gather to participate in work together, even if it’s hard work, what draws them? What is it that would push a man to get out of his warm bed at 5am to go load a bunch of heavy wood into the barbecue pits for the church picnic? Even if he doesn’t realize it, the reason is to commingle in the energy around such an event. It is to participate in the masculine energy present. Furthermore, understanding that this masculine energy is bestowed on us by Christ, being in a group of men who are all focused on the source of this energy is even more powerful. With that in mind, spending time with the source of that energy through Eucharistic adoration, especially as a group, is like recharging our masculinity. Spending time with the source of this energy reenergizes us.
How do I start my own fraternity of brothers?

“God sends us friends to be our firm support in the whirlpool of struggle. In the company of friends, we will find strength to attain our sublime ideal.”
-St. Maximilian Kolbe
